The Chillicothe Lady Hornets golf team hosted their biggest event at Green Hills Golf Course on Thursday, the Chillicothe Invitational. The Lady Hornets welcomed 16 teams and 73 total golfers to Green Hills for the invitational and Chillicothe supplied a great effort at their home tournament.
Chillicothe finished 2nd as a team with a 363 just three strokes behind South Harrison who won the top prize. Gracelynn Barnett and Lyla Oesch were the top performers for the Lady Hornets, each shooting an 87. Presley Rardon scored a 92, and Caylee Anderson rounded out the team score with a 97. Individually, Oesch and Barnett tied for 4th with two other players scoring an 87, and Rardon also was inside the top 10. Kirksville’s Addy Davis finished top of the leaderboard scoring a 73, just one shot over par on the day. Abby Owens of South Harrison was 2nd with a 77 and Richmond’s Lyla Best shot an 85 for 3rd place.
