Four Injured In Two Crashes Saturday

Accidents investigated by State Troopers over the weekend in the area counties include:

Saturday at about 9:10 am, 33-year-old Lawson J. Brown of Mooresville was westbound on Old US 36 at Northeast Litton Road near Breckenridge and ran off the north side of the road, returned to the road and began skidding, went off the south side of the road and struck an embankment and his truck overturned-struck a fence and came to rest on its top.  Brown was taken to Liberty Hospital and his passenger, 31-year-old Shalai E. Brown of Mooresville was taken to Hedrick Medical Center.  Both had minor injuries and were not wearing safety belts.

Saturday at about 4:30 pm in Livingston County, a single-vehicle crash left two injured.  State Troopers report at about 4:30 pm, 18-year-old Blayze R. Stains of St. Joseph was westbound on US 36 near Mooresville and ran off the south side of the road and into the median.  His car overturned, crossed the eastbound lanes, and came to rest on its top.  Stains had moderate injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.  He was not wearing a safety belt.  His passenger, a 17-year-old girl, was wearing a safety belt and had minor injuries.  She refused treatment at the scene.
