Carolyn “Carol” Louise Keller

Carolyn “Carol” Louise Keller, age 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at her residence.

 

Carol was born the daughter of Ocal Floyd and Jewell Frances (Evans) Berry on September 17, 1945, in Maysville, Missouri. She was a 1962 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After graduation, she attended Chillicothe Beauty Academy. Carol was united in marriage to Donald Dale Keller on November 2, 1962, in Blue Mound, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1991. She owned and operated her own beauty shop for over 30 years. Carol and her husband also owned and operated The Corner Pocket in Chillicothe for many years.

 

Survivors include two sons, Donnie Keller and wife, Susan, of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Dorral James Keller of Dothan, Alabama; one daughter, Debbie Dowling and husband, Mitchell, of Dothan, Alabama; and nine grandchildren, Hunter Dale Keller, Elliott Albert Keller, and Shayler Philips Keller and wife, Rebecca, all of Chillicothe, Missouri, William Price Dowling of Atlanta, Georgia, Harrison Brooks Dowling and Denton Brannon Dowling both of Dothan, Alabama, Noel Mitchell Dowling III and wife, Christie, Moira Claire Dowling, and Kelcie Shay Dowling all of Birmingham, Alabama. Carol is also survived two brothers, Gene Berry of Good Springs, Nevada, and David “Butch” Berry of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters, Peggy McCoy of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jewell Canaan of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; four brothers, Charles, Jimmy, Richard, and George Berry; two sisters, Linda Real and Annie Stinson; and her longtime companion, Bruce Dowell.

 

Graveside services will be held at Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Hogan Memorial School and/or Utica Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
