A crash involving a single vehicle and a deer resulted in a grass fire this (Thursday) morning. The crash shortly after 6:00 am was near the intersection of Route A and W and resulted in a vehicle fire. Before the fire department arrived, they were told there was also a grass fire at the location.
The fire department arrived twenty minutes after the call was received to find the vehicle owned by Mark Reagin of Trenton fully involved.
About 750 gallons of water was used to put out the fire. The fire crew was on the scene for nearly 30 minutes.
