Chillicothe Police Report For Friday – Sunday

One-hundred-seventy-eight calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

Friday,

02:47 PM Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Locust and Polk which resulted in the arrest of a man for an outstanding traffic warrant from Caldwell Co.  He was able to post bond and was released from custody.

04:17 PM Officers were granted multiple felony arrest warrants for stealing that were served in multiple locations of the city. These arrests were a result of a lengthy investigation in which thousands of dollars of stolen property were recovered.  Two women and two men remain in custody at Caldwell County Detention Center for stealing with one male suspect still at large.

05:49 PM A recreational fire was seen at an abandoned property in the area of JFK and Maple. Officers made the person present leave the property and extinguished the fire.

10:55 PM Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington and Ryan which resulted in the arrest of a man for DWI. He was cited and released.

Saturday,

01:45 AM Officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of Walnut involving spouses in which one party was locked out of the house while intoxicated and damaged a door trying to enter the residence. The intoxicated party fled the area but was later contacted.

11:25 AM Officers took a walk in report of child abuse that had occurred in the city. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

12:33 PM Officers took a report of a burglary in the 600 block of Webster. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

12:53 PM Officers responded to the 1100 block of Polk for a woman who had overdosed on prescription medication. She was taken into protective custody and transferred for treatment.

07:12 PM Officers took a report of stealing in the 1000 block of Graves Street in which cash was picked up from a self-checkout. Investigation continues.

11:38 PM Officers began an investigation of possible scamming in the 600 block of BUS 36. In which fraudulent credit devices may have been used.

Sunday

12:24 AM Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Vine Street.

02:07 AM Officers responded to the 10 block of Walnut street for a disturbance. An individual was found to be in mental health crisis. Resources were provided to aid family members.

02:18 AM A male juvenile was found to be at a residence without permission to see a friend. The juvenile was taken home.

11:34 AM Officers worked a two vehicle crash without injury in the area of BUS 36 and US 65.

03:19 PM Officers were advised of a juvenile stealing political signs.

08:07 PM Officers were advised of a juvenile who had left home without permission. This offense has been habitual and will be forwarded to the juvenile officer.
