Livingston County had a record number of absentee voters in Tuesday’s General Election. Election Authority Sherry Parks says 16.94% of registered Livingston County voters cast an absentee ballot. Parks says the No Excuse Absentee Voting made a big difference.
It’s been allowed since 2022.
The tabulation shows that 1,648 absentee ballots were cast. That is 23.79% of the 6,925 total Livingston County ballots that were cast.
Parks says adjustments will probably be made across the state to accommodate the higher number of absentee voters.
