One hundred seventy-five calls for service were handled by Chillicothe Police Department on Friday and Sunday. Some of the calls include:
Friday,
At 12:21 pm Officers responded to Rhodes Repair for leaving the scene accident. Officers gathered information for a Crash Report and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
At 07:41 pm Officers responded to the 400 block of Vine Street for a domestic disturbance. Officers provided transport to the woman to ensure the safety of both parties involved.
At 08:04 pm Officers responded to the 500 block of Webster Street for a well-being check on an intoxicated man laying on the sidewalk. Officers made contact and offered services, but he did not want to speak to law enforcement.
At 11:05 pm Officers responded to the 400 block of Vine Street for an intoxicated man yelling and stating he wanted to fight. The 59-year-old man was arrested pending charges for driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended/revoked, and 1st degree property damage and transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.
Saturday,
At 02:53 pm Officers responded to the on-ramp of US 36 for a motor vehicle accident, where a vehicle attempted to merge onto US 36 failing to yield to oncoming traffic resulting in an accident. The driver was cited for failing to yield.
Sunday,
At 02:51 pm Officers responded to the 1500 block of Fair Street for a well-being check of a 1-year-old child walking down Fair Street. Officers located the child and the parents and found everything to be fine.
At 03:02 pm Officers responded to the 1100 block of Polk Street on a report of property damage. Officers located a 10-year-old juvenile who had broken a window. Officers gathered information and will be pursuing charges for property damage through the juvenile court.
Officers also conducted several traffic stops, business checks, vehicle checks, and followed up with numerous investigations.
