New board officers were elected for the Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees. The action was required after last May, but the board could not reach a consensus and chose to delay the election until five board members could be in attendance.
The new Board Chair is Catherine Hamilton, the Vice Chair is Clayton Vadnais, Sonja Daley is the Secretary, and Darlene Hughes is the Treasurer. They will take on those responsibilities at the December meeting.
In Old Business, the board was told the incinerator is now off the table for the Health Center. The $11,000 funding will be used in other areas.
The board had a look at the draft Budget, which includes a 3.5% Cost of Living increase. There is less grant funding available in the coming year, that will be reflected in spending.
Generator maintenance was discussed. The Health Center has had a generator for about two years and has had no maintenance contract. The board approved a three-year contract with a company out of Independence to handle the maintenance. The cost is $1,154 per year.
