The US Drought Monitor for Missouri shows nearly half of the state has NO DROUGHT. With the remainder of the state Abnormally dry or moderate drought.
This is nearly the same as the mid-November Drought Monitor.
Currently, 47.76% of the state has no drought.
25.24% is listed as abnormally dry.
27% is listed as Moderate Drought.
In the local counties, nearly all of Caldwell and Chariton County are without drought. Livingston, Carroll, Daviess, and Linn Counties are Abnormally Dry to No Drought. Grundy and Sullivan are listed in Moderate Drought.
Compared to this time last year, the State of Missouri and the local counties are in much better condition in the area of ground moisture. At that time, all of the local countries were Abnormally Dry or in Moderate drought.
