The Chillicothe Mudcats were swept in a weekend series at Nevada. The Griffins threw their best pitchers at the Mudcats all weekend, causing struggles for the Mudcats offense.
On Saturday the Mudcats were shut out 7-0, picking up 6 innings but never more than one hit in a single innings. Nevada made the most of their seven hits, stringing together key hits alongside the free bases provided by the Mudcats short-handed pitching staff.
On Sunday Chillicothe generated more offense but were countered ever turn by the Griffons, losing 9-6. Mudcats starter William Cain gave up five runs before leaving the game in the fourth inning. The Mudcats dug deeper in the bullpen, pitching Nate Gawelko and Jack Cavanaugh, both whom normally play only in the field.
