Five people were injured in two crashes Saturday.
A two-vehicle crash in Daviess County early Saturday morning left both drivers injured. State Troopers report that at about 4:15 am, a 28-year-old Hamilton man was northbound on Highway 13 in Gallatin and crossed the center line striking the front driver’s side of the southbound vehicle driven by a 36-year-old man from Trenton. The Hamilton man was not wearing a safety belt and refused treatment of minor injuries at the scene. The Trenton man was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
A three-vehicle crash on US 36 at Hamilton left three injured Saturday afternoon. State Troopers report the crash occurred at US 36 and Business 36 at about 3:15 pm as a 23-year-old woman was northbound and pulled into the westbound lane of traffic and was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by a 53-year-old man from Maryville. The westbound vehicle went off the north side of the road and struck a vehicle stopped at the intersection.
The Hamilton woman had moderate injuries, the 53-year-old Maryville man had minor injuries and his passenger, a 54-year-old Maryville woman, had moderate injuries. They were all taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
