The Chillicothe 8th grade Basketball teams both beat Maryville.
The 8th Grade Boys had three players in double figures in a 49-38 win. Griff Bonderer had 18 points, Cayden Potter with 12, Wyatt Brandsgaard with 11, Landon Winder with 4, Gabe Hansen with 2 and Sam Reeter and Trent Keith with 1 points each. Isaiah Sprong also had playing time.
Coach Doug French said he was “very pleased with the defensive intensity in the first half.”
Maryville was led by Caden Stoecklein with 24 of the team’s 38 points.
The Chillicothe 8th Grade girls had no problems with the Maryville girls team, beating the Lady Spoofhounds 40 – 9. Kinlei Boley had 21 points, Cali Burkhard with 8, Kirsten Dunn with 4, Hope Helton 3, Aliyah Briner and Bre Pithan with 2 each and playing time for Lilly Basinger, Lainie Epperson and Katelyn Fleener.
