Two accidents in Livingston County left Chillicothe residents injured Wednesday. State Troopers investigated the crashes.
At about 8:00 am on US 36, a mile east of Chillicothe, a semi driven by a 55-year-old Chillicothe man, was eastbound and had slowed for another vehicle. He was struck from behind by another semi, driven by a 29-year-old Ontario, Canada driver. The Chillicothe driver’s truck ran off the north side of the road and crossed the median, partially blocking the westbound lanes. The Chillicothe man was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The other driver was not injured.
At about 11:40 am, on Highway 190, about 9 miles west of Chillicothe, a single-vehicle crash left a 74-year-old Chillicothe man with moderate injuries. According to the report, the man was westbound and ran off the north side of the road, corrected, and went off the south side of the road and struck a tree. He was not wearing a safety belt and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
