The Chillicothe Girls and Boys basketball teams will play their home opener on Friday night. Trenton pays a visit to the Home of the Hornets for two varsity basketball games.
The Chillicothe Girls meet Trenton at 6:00pm. The Lady Hornets suffered their first loss of the season last Saturday when they lost to the much larger Class 5 William Chrisman team by ten points in the Savannah Tournament Championship game.
Trenton is unbeaten on the season and coming off a victory over winless Marceline. Trenton’s closest game of the short season was a 6 point win over Cameron
The Chillicothe Boys looks for a win to even out their 1-2 season, coming off a loss to Benton in the Savannah Tournament. Trenton at 3-2 is coming off a win over Marceline.
The game is the Teddy Bear Toss game. Those attending are urged to bring a stuffed teddy bear or other stuffed animal to the game. At a predetermined, announced point in the game, attendees will throw the stuffed animals onto the court. The CHS Leadership class members will gather them from the floor and donate them to charities to help children in times of need.
