Livingston County Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s report from mid-February to early March includes several incidents and arrests.

Incident Reports:

February 19th, deputies began an investigation on theft of services after an employer allegedly ceased to pay an individual for crop-dusting work.

February 21st, an investigation of leaving the scene of an accident in Livingston County led to the arrest of a San Diego truck driver, 25 year old Dejahn Hutsona.  He was processed and released.

February 22nd, deputies responded to a rollover accident on Trenton Road in Chillicothe near the railroad tracks.  The vehicle was found to be unoccupied. The alleged driver was identified as Michael Behnke.  Formal charges are sought.

February 27th, deputies took a report of tires that were slashed.

March 2nd, deputies responded to the Ludlow area for harassment.  The investigation showed harassment had occurred. The suspect was later located and illegal narcotics were also recovered by another agency.

Arrests:

February 14th, 18-year-old Lane McCoy of Chillicothe was arrested on a Livingston County probation violation warrant. McCoy was unable to post $5,000 cash bond and he was taken to Caldwell County Detention Center.

February 17th, 36-year-old Dennelle Caldwell of Altamont, turned herself in on a Livingston County warrant for alleged DWI – Persistent offender.  Bond is denied.

February 21st, 41-year-old Charles Brandon Collins of Chillicothe, was arrested in the 800 block of Easton Street on a Livingston County warrant for alleged probation violation for possession of a controlled substance.  Collins was unable to post $20,000 cash bond.

March 4th, 37-year-old Daniel Buttman of Chillicothe, was arrested on a Livingston County warrant for alleged failure to appear on a charge or alleged non-support. He was processed and released.
