The CHS Players present Radium Girls on the stage of the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center this weekend. Drama Instructor Lisa Rule says this is a drama inspired by history.

The techniques used by the women resulted in ingesting the radium, causing unexplained illness, later found to be from radiation.
Rule says the play was selected by the cast.

The showings are on Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
Rule cautions that the content is not appropriate for younger audiences. She says “There will be some special effects makeup that will duplicate bleeding and the tumors these young women had.”
