Two traffic crashes Saturday morning in the area counties left four people injured.
Saturday at 10:25 am on Highway 6 at Route NN in Jamesport, a two-vehicle crash left one driver and the passenger in the other vehicle injured. State Troopers report a 70-year-old woman from Wathena, KS was eastbound on NN, and failed to yield at Highway 6, and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Trenton woman. The Wathena, Kansas woman had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. The passenger in the other vehicle, a 53-year-old woman from Trenton, had moderate injuries and was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
At 10:28 am on US 36 at the Linn/Livingston County line, a single-vehicle crash occurred when a van driven by a 44-year-old Chicago Heights, IL man was westbound and struck an animal in the roadway. The driver and a passenger, a 50-year-old man from Chicago, IL were taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
