Three Weekend Crashes Leave Four Injured

Three crashes in the area counties over the weekend left four people with minor injuries.

Saturday at about 11:08 am in Carroll County, A two-vehicle crash on US 65 left both drivers injured.  State Troopers report a southbound vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Carrollton man was stopped on the roadway to make a right turn and was struck from behind by a southbound vehicle driven by a 45-year-old woman from Waverly.  The Waverly woman then ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.  Both drivers were wearing safety belts and were taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

Sunday at about 10:25 am, a single-vehicle crash on Route T at 80th Street in Ray County left a Trenton teen injured when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing the road.  The fifteen-year-old was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  The driver, a 40-year-old man from Camden was not injured.

In Daviess County at about 8:32 pm Sunday, a northbound SUV on Interstate 35 struck a deer, five miles north of Cameron.  The driver, a 55-year-old woman from Minnesota, was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.  She was wearing a safety belt.
