The Chillicothe Police Department report for Friday through Sunday includes 158 calls for service through the period.  Some of the calls include:

 

Friday, May 9, 2025

At 11:41 am Officers took a report of a fraudulent check used in an attempted scam. Officers were able to inform and instruct the individual to prevent any loss of monetary value and keep the individual from attempting to pass the fraudulent check. An investigation is ongoing.

At 04:12 pm Officers responded to the 800 block of Sunset for a report of a dog bite.

At 5:15 pm Officers responded to US 36 and 65 for a motor vehicle accident. The driver of a truck and trailer failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle as it passed through the intersection.

At 09:16 pm Officers responded to the 300 block of 11th Street for juveniles knocking on doors.

 

Saturday, May 10, 2025

At 01:17 am Officers responded to the 200 block of McCormick Street in reference to assisting EMS locate a 72-year-old female who called 911 for chest pain.

At 08:46 am Officers responded to the 100 block of Wilson Street for a well-being check. After speaking with a 61-year-old male subject, Officers contacted Missouri Mental Health staff to assist the man.

At 03:23 pm Officers responded to the 300 block of Polk Street for a well-being check on a woman subject possibly overdosing on medication. Officers were able to locate the woman who was later transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.

 

Sunday, May 11, 2025

At 02:11 pm Officers responded to the viaduct on Washington Street for a well-being check on a man standing on the edge of the viaduct. They provided assistance and transported him to Hedrick Medical Center for a mental health evaluation and treatment.

At 04:27 pm Officers responded to the 200 block of Washington Street for a report of harassment. A woman was removed from the business for causing a disturbance on multiple occasions and was asked not to return.

At 06:36 Officers responded to the 700 block of Elm Street for a motor vehicle accident. A truck was driven into the business, causing damage to the structure. Officers were able to locate the vehicle as the driver attempted to leave the scene. Officers and firefighters assisted the business staff with closing down the store as conditions were no longer safe to occupy the building to conduct business. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
