The State’s Jobs report for April shows non-farm payroll decreased by 6,600 jobs, private industry employment decreased by 6,900 jobs, and government employment increased by 300 jobs.
Missouri’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased by one-tenth of a percentage point in April, to 3.9 percent. That is two-tenths of a percentage point higher than in April of 2024.
The monthly unemployment report with a breakdown by county will be released on May 23rd.
