Chillicothe Police Handled 218 Calls From Friday – Sunday

Two hundred eighteen calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

 

Friday,

09:12 a.m., Officers were on scene in the 100 block of Herriman St after observing a loose dog. Officers contacted Animal Control to investigate.  As a result, multiple citations being issued.

While Officers were in the home, they observed children in unsafe living conditions and contacted the proper agencies. As a result of the investigation, 2 women and a man were arrested for child endangerment. They were transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

11:24 a.m., Officers responded to the intersection of US 65 and US 36 for a 2-vehicle crash that occurred on the eastbound exit ramp.

04:13 p.m., Officers responded to the 1900 block of Washington St. for a report of a 2-vehicle crash.

06:24 p.m., Officers met a person in the lobby who reported identity theft. Officers took a report and the investigation is ongoing.

09:21 p.m., Officers responded to the intersection of Jackson St. and St. Louis Ave. for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Officers made contact with a driver. Officers observed she was impaired and was transported to the hospital, then placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The other vehicle involved was unoccupied.

09:51 p.m., Officers observed suspects from a burglary near the intersection of 1st St. and Hickory St. A man and woman were arrested. The man was later taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center. The woman was cited and released.

 

Saturday, May 17th 

01:19 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Bryan St. and Monroe St.  As a result, officers arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated. She was later released with a citation.

02:36 p.m., Officers responded to the intersection of US 65 and Highway 190 on a report of a vehicle failing to maintain a single lane. Officers were able to get the vehicle stopped and observed signs of impairment.  The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was later released with a citation.

05:14 p.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of Calhoun St. for a report of illegal burning. Officers arrived and issued a man a citation for illegal burning. The fire was extinguished.

08:34 p.m., Officers conducting patrol observed a vehicle associated with a man who had a Probation and Parole arrest warrant.  The vehicle was stopped in the 100 block of W Business 36 Highway. Officers took the man into custody and located controlled substances. He was later transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

 

Sunday,

01:06 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near Business 36 Highway and US 65. During the stop a man was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was later released with a citation.

10:33 a.m., Officers responded to Schaffer Park for a report of pills being found. Officers seized the pills. A report was taken.

02:19 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd St. and Dickinson St. During the stop it was determined the driver had a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested and later released with a citation.

03:34 p.m., Officers responded to the 1200 block of Green St. for a report of a deceased male. Officers conducted an initial investigation. The full investigation continues.

08:19 p.m., Officers responded to the 10 block of Elm St. for a report of a small fire. Officers called the Chillicothe Fire Department to extinguish the fire. An investigation is ongoing.
