Two single-vehicle crashes in the area counties over the weekend resulted in three with serious injuries.
Saturday in Clinton County, a driver and passenger, both from Hamilton, were taken to Liberty Hospital following a crash on US 69, south of Cameron at about 9:45 am According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old was northbound and struck an animal in the roadway, overcorrected and the vehicle went off the east side of the road and overturned. The 19-year-old passenger was wearing a safety belt, while the driver was not.
A motorcycle crash Sunday at about 10:11 am on Route P in Linn County left the driver with serious injuries. State Troopers report the bike was eastbound and ran off the left side of the road and the driver, a 54-year-old man from Linneus, was ejected. He was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. He was wearing a helmet.
