Patricia (Watt) Elliott
July 29, 1944 – June 7, 2025
Mooresville, MO resident Patricia (Watt) Elliott passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Peculiar, MO.
Pat was born in Bosworth, MO, to Bernard and Edith (Maudlin) Watt. She was a proud 1962 graduate of Bosworth High School. Pat worked at Banquet Foods and Bill Creason’s Restaurant before her marriage to Robert Elliott of Hale in 1966. They purchased their beloved farm in May 1968 where she still lived. Pat was a hard worker and found great joy in farming, gardening, and especially tending to her flowers. She loved sharing her irises and lilies with others, especially the “Flower Girls” and couldn’t wait to get outside each morning to see what had bloomed. Pat was a talented lifelong seamstress and often sewed for friends and family, but absolutely loved making and giving away doll clothes.
Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren, always proud of their accomplishments. After raising her family, Pat worked as a substitute rural mail carrier in Mooresville and Ludlow then later at Dr. Brick’s Office in Chillicothe. In May 1995, she took a full-time route, serving the Tina and Bogard communities. She treasured the friendships she made and retired after 31 years.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her beloved sister Nina and brother-in-law Richard Goldsberry; and her brother Lyman and sister-in-law Priscilla Watt.
She is survived by two sons: Kelly Elliott (Shanna) of Rochester, IL, and their children: Amanda Snow (Emily) of New Smyrna, FL; Lauren Elliott (Austin Dry) of Manchester, MO; Sydney Pappas (Brennan) and son Eli of Springfield, IL; and Jordan (Lindsey) of Chicago, IL. Jerry Elliott (Krista) of Mountain Grove, MO, and their children: Trinity of Chesterfield, MO and Tyson of Jacksonville, IL. Daughter: Carrie Hauptmann (Brad) of Peculiar, MO and their children: Cash (Erika) and son Will of Lincoln, NE; Parker of Overland Park, KS; and Hope and Ava of Peculiar.
She is also survived by special cousins Delores Siefkas of Bosworth and Sharon Maudlin of Houston, TX, nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Brittany Dysart and family of Dawn, MO, and Wanda and Gareld Dawkins of Mooresville.
A memorial will be held on Sunday, July 27, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Mooresville Community Center, 408 Main St.
