Assessment Forms Due By Saturday

Four days remain before the Livingston County Assessment forms need to be returned to the County Assessor’s office.   The assessment forms were mailed to personal property and real estate owners at the beginning of the year.  Assessor Steve Ripley says the deadline to return the forms to his office is March 1st.

Ripley says those not returning a completed list to the Assessor’s office by the March 1st deadline are subject to a penalty. He says “Penalties range from $15 to $105 depending on the value of the property. The statutes provide the assessor with almost no discretion to waive the penalties.”

If you have questions about the assessment forms or did not receive your forms, contact the Assessor’s office at 660-646-8000, extension 2, or stop at the Assessor’s office on the main floor of the courthouse.
