The cost of attending Grand River Technical School will increase in the in the 2019/20 school year.  The School Board approved the increase of $50 for the three hour programs, which includes the programs attended by the High School students. The increase for the six hour adult programs is $100.

A Laclede man was arrested by State Troopers in Linn County Monday night.  Twenty-one year old Blaine Sportsman was arrested at about 10:50 pm for alleged possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Sportsman was taken to the Brookfield Police Department, processed and released.
