The engineering for the 2019 Chillicothe Street projects is complete and City Administrator Darin Chappell says they are happy to have it done earlier this year. Chappell says they hope to have the bid process complete and the contracts in place for a contractor to begin work as soon as the weather permits.

A candidate for the Chillicothe City Auditors position withdrew from the race Tuesday afternoon. City Clerk Roze Frampton reported Kathy Gilliland withdrew her name from the ballot at 4:13 pm. A short time later, before the 5:00 pm deadline, Hannah Fletcher filed for the office of City Auditor and will be unopposed on the ballot.
Residents of the Chillicothe R-II School District will see an 80 cents operating levy for the district on the April Ballot. Superintendent Dr Roger Barnes says the board approved the required resolution for the levy Tuesday night. The Ballot will read as follows:
