There will be three new faces on the Chillicothe R-II School board beginning this month. Chillicothe R-II School District voters elected Bill Hayen and Clint Williams to fill the seats with a three-year term. Brice Walker was elected to one year on the school board.
The 80 cent per hundred dollar valuation levy for Chillicothe R-II School District’s Operations was defeated on a vote of 1328 no to 751 yes. Superintendent Dr Roger Barnes says it was disappointing. Dr Barnes says they could try again. The next scheduled meeting of the Chillicothe R-II School Board is April 16th.
Chillicothe Municipal Utilities annual Citywide Spring Clean-Up begins next week. The dates this year are April 10th, 13th, 24th, and 27th. The hours are from 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
