Students from Chillicothe Elementary School’s First Grade classes traveled to the Litton Ag Campus last week to plant seeds. The students were assisted by the Litton Crusaders, high school Ag students. The first graders were learning about plants in class and were given the opportunity to get their hands a little dirty by planting marigold seeds.
Over the next couple of weeks, the project will continue with weekly photos of the seeds progress sent to the students, until the plants are ready to be transplanted into bigger pots.
The first-graders will then return to the Litton Ag Campus and transplant the marigolds into pots and take them home.
