A Teacher at the Chillicothe Elementary School has requested permission to seek grant funding. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says that was presented to the board this week. The request required approval from the board, and the request was approved.
The Chillicothe R-II School District attempted an Alternative Methods of Instruction Day to test the expectations of the program. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says they learned a bit. He says the district does not need to make up any days, because of weather as they had already built enough days into the calendar.

A Cameron man was arrested Tuesday evening for alleged DWI and Careless and Imprudent Driving. State Troopers arrested 36-year-old James Wilkinson of Cameron at about 5:25 pm. Wilkinson was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 12-hour hold.
