The Chillicothe Police Department responded to several calls for service Wednesday.
6:08 am, Officers checked a suspicious item by a trash can in the 700 block of Elm Street. Item was determined to be a B-B gun and took care of proper disposal.
8:11 am, Officers made a search of a property in the 1100 block of Jackson Street The officers had a warrant for the search that is part of an ongoing investigation of possible fraud.
8:13 am, Officers responded to a despondent person reportedly considering harming themselves. The incident was in the 500 block of West Business 36 Highway. The person was taken to a facility for help.
3:39 pm, Officers responded to a parking complaint in the area of Edgewood Drive. Officer drove the area and was unable to locate any violation.
8:20pm, Officers checked on a suspicious person in the 1000 block of South Washington Street. They had run out of gasoline.
8:38 pm, Complaint of a dog running loose in the 1100 block of Cooper Street. The dog was caught by the caller and Officer transported the dog to the animal shelter.
