Chillicothe Fire Fighters were called for a report of a chemical cloud in a home. The call came in about 4:45 pm and the fire department arrived at the home in the 200 block of Williams in about a minute.
The resident, Misty Franks said she was mixing the pool chemicals in the house when the cloud started to come from the bucket. One firefighter put on a HazMat suit and breathing apparatus, then went in to remove the chemicals from the home. The mixture was poured into the pool. The remainder of the chemicals were removed from the home and windows were opened to ventilate the house. The fire crew was on the scene for about 20 minutes.
