18 counties in Northwest Missouri will have extra financial help in future disaster relief thanks to a new fun established by the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri.
An unnamed donor has seeded a fund to provide disaster relief, particularly for flood victims, in Northwest Missouri.
The out of state donor stated they are familiar with Community Foundations and like the model they provide for charitable giving.
The fund will provide natural disaster recover assistance to Northwest Missouri through grants to non-profit organizations that address high priority community needs.
Chairman of the Board, Jim Blackford, said the group is humbled by the opportunity to help flood victims at this critical time.
The 18 counties served includes Livingston, Grundy, Linn, Daviess, Caldwell and Sullivan counties in the KCHI listening area.
