The Chillicothe Mudcats beat the Jefferson City Renegades 6-4 on Monday. KCHI’s Patrick Wheeler has the story:
Scott Duensing got the nod for his 5th start of the season and was given a boost in the 2nd inning when Jack Grace would launch his 4th HR of the year. 1-0 Cats. Grace wasn’t done. In the 4th, he would add an RBI double. Marcus Gonzalez got one of his own and Branded Settles added an RBI single to make it 5-0 Chillicothe with the Cats adding an insurance run in the 7th. Duensing would go 5 strong innings allowing just 2 runs. Kale harris put up 2 and 1/3 innings of scoreless pitching in relief. Jack McNellis would close the door with his 5th save of the season.
The Mudcats are now 19-10 and will play the Nevada Griffons in Chillicothe tonight. Patrick Wheeler will have the first pitch for you at 7:05 pm on KCHI and streamed live on KCHI.com.
