The Livingston County Fair Market Animal Sale on Friday night totaled $114,250 and included 192 animals sold. Fair Board President Shane Baxter says “The premium sale brought a successful 2019 Fair to an end on Friday evening. While animal numbers were off just a little, we had a significant increase in bidders supporting the 4-H & FFA youth.”
The number of buyers for this year’s sale was 124, up about 31% from the previous high number of buyers in 2013.
The majority of the money raised the sale goes back to the youth that showed the animals to help offset their expenses.
Baxter says “Thank you to everyone who supported the Livingston County Fair, both thru the sale and throughout the week.”
