The Highway Patrol reports two accidents in the area counties Saturday.
In Daviess County, a two-vehicle accident left a driver and passenger injured. The accident happened on Nickle Avenue, south of Jamesport at about 12:35 pm. The report states a northbound vehicle on 330th, driven by 69 year old Gerald Souders of Jamesport failed to yield resulting in the accident. The other driver, 74 year old Robert Chester hit the Souders vehicle on the driver’s side. Injured were Souders with moderate injuries and his passenger, 51 year old Ester Miller of Jamesport with minor injuries. Miller was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital, while Souders was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital. They were not wearing safety belts.
An ATV accident at about 10:20 pm in Livingston County left a Trenton woman with minor injuries. The ATV driven by 24-year-old Vincent Mathews of Hale was eastbound on LIV 312, south of Chillicothe, when he lost control on the mud-covered road and the ATV overturned. His passenger, 25-year-old Monica Proctor of Trenton had minor injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
