Flood Warnings continue for portions of the Grand River.
Flooding had been expected on the Grand River at Chillicothe Friday evening, but the river levels began to fall well short of the 24-foot flood stage. The river reached 22.1 feet at about 9:30 pm and had fallen to 21.9 feet by 5:00 am.
At Sumner, moderate flooding is occurring with the river at 28.4 feet at 5:00 am and a crest is expected near 29 feet before the river falls back below flood stage of 26 feet. Flooding is expected to continue until late Sunday night.
At Brunswick, the Grand River was at 15.6 feet at 8:00 am Friday and was expected to be above flood stage of 19 feet this morning, with a crest of 21.7 feet predicted for Sunday morning.
