A free outdoor skills program is available for youth, ages 6-15 years old will be held at the Union Ridge Conservation Area, northeast of Green City. The program is offered through a partnership between the Missouri Department of Conservation and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
The event on Saturday, September 28th and will run from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at Union Ridge Conservation Area, Parking Lot E, on Lilac Road.
Participants will have opportunities to learn and practice shotgun shooting, fishing,and archery. There will be safety instruction, and a turkey calling demonstration. Participants may bring their own shotgun for trap shooting, but firearms, ammunition, fishing gear, bait and all other equipment will all be provided. Lunch will also be provided at no cost.
