The Chillicothe R-II School Boards meets Tuesday evening at Grand River Technical School. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and there will be discussions on Central School and the 2019/20 budget.
Old Business includes discussions on the future of Central School. The board received two bids, one for demolition that would cost the district $155,000 plus any inspections and abatement. There is also a bid of $31,500 to purchase and repurposing the building for apartments.
Under New Business, the board will consider an amendment to the current budget, set the tuition rate for the coming school year, consider the declaration of surplus property and approve the final version of the school bus routes.
There will also be a request for new positions. Chillicothe Elementary School has requested a Behavior Support Aide at $19,473 a year. Chillicothe High School has requested an Assistant Wrestling Coach at $1,286 per season.
The board will consider salary updates and there will be board training provided in December. The training will be at the Litton Ag Center.
An executive session is scheduled to follow the regular meeting.
