A five-hour manhunt that began Tuesday evening resulted in two men in custody . The Chillicothe Police Department reported they and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri Highway Patrol began the investigation of the two men considered dangerous. Several theft reports were taken where citizens were victimized and the suspects were found to be armed and dangerous.
Officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, which fled into the county. The report the vehicle came to a stop at US 36 and Liv 261 and the men, Brandon Wood and Charles Mullenix, fled into a cornfield.
The officers set a perimeter in the area and cleared abandoned barns and houses. According to the report, the men were taken into custody at about 3:00 am.
