The Chillicothe Girls Cross Country team finished fifth in the large and tough Platte County Invitational. St Teresa’s Academy was the champion, followed by Platte County, Park Hill and Liberty North all ahead of Chillicothe.
Clairissa Nivens finished 22nd overall, Juliann Gabrielson was 36th and Aliyah Briner 37th place.
Emma Burk was 48th and Kaydence Shipers was 49th. Callaway Chapman was 65th and Kathryn George was 71st.
Hornet Boys Varsity finished in 19th place. Hayden Simmer again led the Hornet Boys in 55th place overall, Stephen Parkes 98th, Brady Bernskoetter 120th, Clayton Savage 124th, Logan Gregory 126th, Gavin Funk 128th and Nathan Toole 132nd.
Blue Springs South won the boys team title.
Girls JV race Kaylynn Cranmer was 49th, Mayanna Weed was 59th and Kiera Bosley was 64th
In the Girls Middle School division Yoo Jung Lee was 8th, Makinna Arr was 41st, Zoey Warren 48th, and Karissa Fostek 59th.
Boys Middle School Division Carter Shipers was 19th, Tyler Stephens was 36th, Josh Adams 50th, Cain Evans 51st, Landyn Peterson 87th, Cutter Parkes 97th, and Alton Keller 104th. As a team, they finished 8th place.
