Chillicothe firefighters responded to a report of a truck in high water on the west end of 3rd Street, with a woman trapped inside. The call came in Monday at about 8:10 pm and the firefighters arrived in about 5 minutes. They tried to drive to the truck, but could not get close, so they used a safety rope and a life jacket and walked to the truck and helped the woman, Ashton Crouch, out of the truck and bringing her to safety.
Crouch stated she was already in the water before she could get stopped and tried to turn around before the truck stalled. She was not injured.
