The 33rd annual Poosey Conservation Area Fall driving tour is this Sunday, October 20th, from Noon to 4:00 pm. The Missouri Department of Conservation invites you to come out and explore the roads that are normally closed to vehicle traffic, do some fishing or maybe scout out your hunting site for this fall. Feel like a hike? Check out the Panther’s Den! Samantha Anderson says it is an opportunity to see the Poosey Conservation Area from a different perspective.
MDC will have conservation education stations along the motor route, where visitors can talk with staff about forest and grassland management, wildlife habitat, and get tips for improving fishing in ponds and lakes.
The tour begins at Pike’s Lake and the last car in is at 4:00 pm.
For tour information, call the Chillicothe MDC office at 646-6122.
