The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Cross Country team finished 7th out of 11 complete teams in the Kearney Invitational. According to Coach Michael Creekmore, Chillicothe was with out one of their top runners, Clarissa Nivens, who was nursing what was called a “mild injury”.
Aliyah Briner was 28th, Kadence Shipers was 35th, Juliann Gabrielson 42nd, Emma Burk 51st, Callaway Chapman 77th and Kathryn George 86th.
Chillicothe Boys were 18th out of 20 teams. Columbia Hickman had a near perfect score to win the event with runners in the top 4 positions and 6th overall.
For Chillicothe Hayden Simmer was 46th, Stephen Parkes was 88th, Clayton Savage 112th, Gavin Funk 116th, Logan Gregory 119th and Nathan Toole 133rd.
Junior Varsity girls for Chillicothe were Kaylynn Cranmer 35th and Kiera Bosley 70th.
