A seldom used rule has come into play in the Class 3 District 8 football standings that involves Chillicothe.
At the end of the regular season, Chillicothe’s football team finished with more district points than any other team. Savannah moved up to second place and Pembroke Hill dropped to Third place.
Since Savannah beat Chillicothe in the regular season, that allows Savannah to leap frog ahead and have the #1 seed in the district tournament. That means that if both Chillicothe and Savannah advance through the first two rounds, the championship game would be at Savannah.
Chillicothe will face Kansas City Southeast on Friday the 1st at 7pm. Southeast beat KC Northeast last Friday for their first win of the season.
If Chillicothe wins, they would host a semi -final game on November 8th against the winner of Pembroke Hill and St Joseph Benton.
