Alleged enticement of a minor while at her home was reported by staff at a Chillicothe School. The Chillicothe Police Department received the report at about 12:55 Tuesday and began an investigation of alleged sexual misconduct, statutory rape, sodomy, and enticement of a minor.
The following day, Officers applied for and received a search warrant. Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, and Missouri State Highway Patrol served the warrant in the 200 block of E. Polk Street. As a result, officers seized several items including clothing, furniture, and electronics to assist in this case.
Police Chief Jon Maples says this is an active investigation and more search warrants are being sought, interviews are proceeding, and communication with the Livingston County Prosecutor will be continuing as they progress with the case.
Maples says his staff is working around the clock on this case. We are working closely with the Livingston County Children’s Division, North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center, and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
