The Chillicothe Police Department report for Tuesday includes 106 calls for service.
6:45 am, Officers were requested to contact and check the well-being of a person that may be unstable and took a family member’s truck without permission.
9:24 am, Officers checked the well-being of a resident in the 1800 block of Country Club Drive. The person was ok.
9:35 am, Report of blue Ford pickup stolen from a home in the 200 block of Samuel Street. The Investigation continues.
10:50 am, Officers assisted Emergency Services on what turned out to be a false alarm in the 800 block of S. Washington Street.
11:03 am, Officer contacted subject in the 1400 block of Alexander Street in reference items missing from a storage unit.
11:51 am, Officers assisted Children’s Division with an investigation of child abuse in a neighboring jurisdiction.
12:55 pm, Report of someone driving vehicle in the area of the 2600 block of N. Fair that does not possess a driver’s license.
3:20 pm, Someone that was reported to be driving without a license was contacted by Officer and advised of the complaints. They told the officer they understood and would cease.
3:43 pm, Officer responded to a parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street where a vehicle had struck a pole.
4:52 pm, Officer responded to the area of St. Louis and Jackson St. in reference to a motor vehicle crash. A vehicle was northbound on St. Louis Street and stopped to retrieve their dog that had gotten loose and stepped from the vehicle, but the car was not in park. The vehicle rolled down the street incline, striking a sign, crossing Jackson Street and hitting a tree. No one was injured and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
6:14 pm, Officers dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Polk Street. Verbal disagreement and no arrest due to disturbance. The “unstable person” from a call earlier in the day was taken into custody for the taking of the vehicle but later released with no charges.
11:52 pm, Officers responded to the 200 block of E. Tenth Street for a civil dispute over property.
