The Chillicothe Varsity wrestling team finished 4th out of 24 varsity and Junior Varsity high school wrestling teams in the Pleasant Hill Tournament.
Chillicothe’s 138 pound wrestler Colten Sewell went 6-0 to win his weight class. He won two matches by pin, two matches by technical falls, had one bye and won the title with a 10-0 win over a Harrisonville wrestler.
Finishing 2nd place in their divisions was 106 pound Sheldon Rader, going 4-1, Dawson Wheeler at 170, going 4-1 with four wins by pin, 220lb Isaac Washburn going 4-1 with two pins.
Finishing 3rd at 285 was Christian Peniston with a 3-2 record.
Taking 4th place was 120 pounder Aidan Zimmerman.
5th place for Brock Miller at 160, 7thplace for Bryce Dominique, 9th place for Tristian Slattery, 11th place for Ruger Cox at 145, Zeek Haughton at 152,
12th for Gavin Funk at 126 and 13th place for Evan Loucks at 195.
Two Chillicothe wrestlers competed as a Junior Varsity team. 138 Connor Keithley finished 4th place, losing his semifinal and third place match due to medical forfeit. Jaxon Albertson went 1-5 in the 132 pound class
