The Chillicothe R-II School District will soon participate in a program called Bright Futures. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says Bright Futures has been successful in Trenton and he is eager to get the program started here.
The principle behind the program is to take care of the child and give them the ability to, among other things, attend school healthy and well-rested. Examples of this include providing a bed for a child that is sleeping on the floor. This allows the child to get a good night’s sleep and can improve their overall health.
In addition to Trenton, the program is also in use in Gallatin.
