A traffic stop last weekend could result in drug charges and a revoked probation for the driver. Last Sunday, a deputy stopped a vehicle near Wheeling for 82 in a 65 zone. The younger male driver was found to have a very concentrated form of THC, commonly referred to as “Dab,” in the vehicle.
The driver was also on probation for a serious drug crime and the probation officer has since notified the Sheriff’s Office they are filing to revoke the probation status.
Sheriff Steve Cox says evidence was submitted to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for examination. A report will then be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.
The driver was cited for the speeding violation.
