The nominations are in for the 2019/20 Chillicothe R-II School District Teacher of the Year and Beacon Awards.
This year’s nominees for “Teacher of the Year” include:

Dewey School – Libby Howe
Middle School – Stephanie Baldwin
High School – Nancy Thorne
Grand River Tech – Jenny Hughes
For the Beacon Award, the nominees include:
Chillicothe Elementary – Vicki Callaway
Field – Kerri Mattox
Dewey – Natasha Renfro
Middle School – Mark Pauley
High School – Evet Meierer
Grand River Tech – Ruth Summers
The Teacher of the Year and Beacon Award Winners will be announced in a ceremony on January 6th at 2:00 pm at the Performing Arts Center. The School District will also have recognition for years of service for the staff at that event.
